The aim of the project was to create a rooftop gastronomic space built around the urban panorama, located in the heart of the historic downtown area on the top floor of the Room Hotel. SOLID was created as the sister project of the Michelin-starred SALT restaurant operating on the ground floor, and in 2023 it was included among the Michelin Guide’s recommended restaurants.
The central organizing element of the space is the large-scale spiral staircase, whose curved vertical wall integrates intimate booth seating into the interior. The surrounding large glass surfaces ensure the complete visual openness of the rooftop terrace, strengthening the direct connection with the city. The partially or fully openable glass structure and the green pergola installation complement the interior on a landscape architectural scale, creating a transitional zone between indoor and outdoor space.
The glass and mirrored surfaces, the circular arrangement of seating furniture, and the spatial experience connected to SALT’s gastronomic philosophy create a unified and distinctive atmosphere that makes the urban panorama an organic part of the space.
