The aim of the project was the radical spatial and lighting reorganization of an inner-city apartment with unfavorable conditions. From a dark and enclosed floor-plan situation, a bright and flowing spatial structure was created.

A significant part of the apartment’s original layout suffered from a lack of natural light due to the closed wall of the air shaft. The structural characteristics of the attic space made it possible to create glazed openings, allowing natural light from above to animate the entire living area. The air shaft was transformed into an internal atrium, establishing a direct connection with weather phenomena and the external environment.

The resulting loft-like space can be used flexibly, while its concealed storage systems allow for a clean, generous approach to furnishing.
